Ford Lincoln of Fairfield prices its new cars below the manufacturer’s suggested price.
“We don’t do the back-and-forth, higher pressure hassles and haggles,” General Manager Dustin Marazzito said.
It sells cars with a 10-point guarantee. Among the points: A weekly free car wash, loaner cars during servicing and a free annual inspection.
“For us, the sale goes on long after the sale,” Marazzito said. “We try to build a relationship with our customers. We stand by them long after the sale.”
The Fairfield store is among the top 10 percent for sales customer satisfaction among Ford dealerships nationwide, he said. Ford came to the Fairfield Auto Mall in 2010, at a time when the auto mall needed a boost. The city had lost a prior Ford dealership in 2008 in the midst of the Great Recession, as well as several other auto dealerships. When Price-Simms announced in 2010 it would open Ford and open a Mercedes dealership, the move helped launch the revitalization of the auto mall.
